EBay
Dick Cheney, in his infinite wisdom, has showed he has all the political skill of Herbert Hoover. This comment about forgetting EBay is the most MORONIC thing I've read come out of his mouth - and I've often thought of him as an intelligent man. An evil man, but an intelligent man nonetheless.
Let's break this down.
1. "Four hundred thousand people make some money trading on eBay."
Well yes - but how many of those are, as Wonkette so gracefully noted, came off of $5 sales of old Record albums (Shiny plastic discs? Never 'eard of 'em!)
2. Cheney says the inidcators miss EBay
Wrong again - those on EBay pay taxes just like anyone else, and furthermore aren't filing for unemployment. If EBayers don't count in regular figures, neither do contractors or freelancers - and that we know is quite wrong.
3. "Perhaps they made more money selling Apples"
Yeah, whatever dude. These guys really do idolize Herbert Hoover.
