Rally, Getting Organized, Polling

John Kerry and John Edwards will be here in Orlando on Tuesday 9-21-04 at the TD Waterhouse Center. Checkout the official site for more information. I'll be there...

We had an organizing convention this weekend at the unfortunately named Sorrosis Club. About 300 or so volunteers came out to support Kerry, and are all working within their local precincts.

Everyone at the organizing convention got pretty psyched about the upcoming visit. TD Waterhouse holds a lot of people, and it's going to be a lot of work to fill the place - but we will.

To prepare for the rally we had a sign painting party today - a bunch of volunteers came in and made signs for the rally.

There's been a lot of Discussion as of late about polling. I don't necessarily fault Gallup for weighting a Registered Republican answer more heavily than a Dem - in previous years, Republicans have been more likely to show up at the polls. This year, however, it will be different. The effects of Howard Dean's message of involvment still lingers - and there will be a large voter turnout. In fact, this year - I think we'll see the largest youth voter turnout yet.
