0-1, 161 More to Go
Alright - so both the Sox and the Nats dropped their openers. I can't say much about the Sox game, but I can talk about the Nats game.
1. Nick Johnson - please stay healthy. If you're healthy, you're awesome.
2. Terrmel Sledge - Hammered one over the fence in right. Hells yeah - I knew he was the right choice (even if he did ground into that bases loaded double play - we'll forgive for that).
3. Even Livan has bad days. But it wasn't horrible - it was the pen that really gave away the most.
The only observation I can make about both games is that TV Broadcasters don't like Moneyball. And they are wrong. Especially Joe Morgan - the whole "But if you sacrifice an out to move a player forward, did you really sacrifice an out?" YES! YES YOU DID!!!
