John Roberts
I'm very happy to see that many on the right are PISSED about John Roberts. This is a very good sign. If they're angry, you know that something is going right. It's also obvious that the next appointee is going to be a real winger nut-job. Therefore, this is what I propose.
Confirm Roberts. He's better than Reinquist, and no more conservative. Then, when Bush puts up a psycho - point out that we confirmed Roberts and that we're willing to work with Bush. That destroys any credibility that groups like Club for Growth would have in saying "It doesn't matter who Bush puts up, the Dems will block 'em!" We can make hay out of this, and keep the Supreme Court safe - let's do it.
