JJ, Vista

We held the JJ Dinner on Saturday night (my birthday). The event went phenomenally. Most of the details have been covered in other places. I had a great time, and I present this photo of me at the podium while Greg checked out the composition of what became our main shot.

At the Podium

----------------------------

Certain functions on my laptop such as hibernate have ceased to function recently. This is a cause of great concern. And I now realize that it's probably time for a fresh software install. This now creates a conundrum. I have recently acquire a license of Vista Business. Do I reinstall with XP Pro, or do I go up to Vista? The only cost difference is I would have to buy a new Norton license since Symantec Corporate doesn't work on Vista. Then there's the iTunes issue - as a devotee of Apple's various products, any upgrade would be on hold anyways until the compatibility issues are resolved. I cannot survive without my music. How would my respective games hold up? Do I really want to subject myself to what really is Beta software for the first-person-on-the-block factor?
